Independence Day was celebrated in SN College Kannur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 15th August, 2023 in the College Campus with the staff, students and parents to mark the 77th year of freedom from the British rule. On this special occasion, the programme started with flag hoisting by our Principal, Prof (Dr)Kumar SP. The Principal addressed the gathering appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urging them to take pride in being an Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. He also emphasized the role of youth today as the true wealth of a country. IQAC coordinator Dr.K P Prasanth,NSS program officers,Ms.Sreelatha E and Mr.Sumesh PC, Office Superintendent Mr.Prathuish Purushothaman were spoke.
This was followed by a musical rendition by the NSS choir which sang patriotic songs that awakened everyone’s feelings towards the motherland. The NSS volunteers also flew tricoloured kites to commemorate the occasion. After the Flag hoisting programme completed, the cultural programme was started at Seminar Hall.
