(IQAC), organized a cultural event titled "Geethmaala" on March 01, 2024

The Department of Hindi at Sree Narayana College, Kannur, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a cultural event titled "Geethmaala" on March 01, 2024. This event served as a tribute to the legendary Late Latha Mangeshkar and Late Pankaj Udhas, commemorating their remarkable contributions to the music industry.

The event commenced with a solemn prayer led by Yamika K K, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Rathika P K, the Head of the Department of Hindi. Dr. Satheesh CP, the Principal in charge of Sree Narayana College, Kannur, then delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of the occasion.
Dr. K P Prasanth, the Coordinator of IQAC, extended his congratulations to the organizers and participants, acknowledging their efforts in organizing such a meaningful event. This was followed by an insightful inaugural speech by Dr. T Sasidharan, Former Additional Director of Collegiate Education, who shared his perspectives on the theme of the event.
The highlight of the event was the "Geethmaala" song, which was performed by both teachers and students, showcasing their talents and paying homage to the iconic musical contributions of Late Latha Mangeshkar and Late Pankaj Udhas.
The event concluded on a high note, fostering cultural appreciation and camaraderie among the attendees, while honoring the rich legacy of Indian music.
